Spanish 21

This exciting Blackjack variation also follows the rules of regular play described under Lucky Ladies. But please note the following differences.

While it is dealt from a six-deck shoe, the 10’s are removed from the shoe (not including the face cards).

Player Blackjacks never push with the house as they are paid before the dealer “peeks” at their hole card. If the dealer is showing an Ace, the player with the “paid Blackjack” can still opt for Insurance for an extra betting opportunity.

Hands totaling 21 never push with the house as they are paid immediately.

Players can Surrender (after the dealer peeks under any face or ace) and non-busting hand regardless of how many cards are in that hand.

Players can Rescue any non-busting Double Down for the double Down amount.

There is a separate side bet that one or both of the players two cards will match the dealer’s 2nd card (usually, but not always, t he “up” card). The bet can be for $1 up to the total limit.

There is a Super Bonus on Triple 7s (original hand only) as well as a 21 Bonus for 5 card or better hands that 21 (original hand only). These bonuses require no additional player wages.
